Chase Away the Clouds is nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to offering all its services FREE of charge to adult cancer patients who need to travel to the Treasure Valley to receive treatment. Chase Away the Clouds has to rely on the generosity of our community. At this time the "home away from home" is only a dream for families, social workers, and people in the medical field.
Grants and Corporate funding are extremely rare for building or what is referred to as brick and mortar . Your donation to Chase Away the Clouds will help make this dream to offer a free no cost lodging to patients and their families coming in from out of town for treatments come true. To ensure that we can provide support and ease the stress and cloud hanging over so many families dealing with cancer we are seeking your help.
Donations can be in so many different forms. There are many ways you can help which provide tax savings for you as well as recognition from our organization. :The following is a list we have compiled. Maybe you have other suggestions as well...
Unrestricted Gifts-A donation that can be used where the need is the greatest. Cash, Raffles, Cars, RV's and motorized running vechiles, Guns or Jewelry that can be raffled off.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts — Honor or memorialize loved ones or friends, or commemorate a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion using our Brick by Brick Program.
Major Gifts Contributions of $1,000 or more enable Chase Away the Clouds to fund vital programs and aid in building our dream. We proudly acknowledge our donors at their giving levels with recognition in our Annual Report and in our Chase Away the Cloud's newsletter, as well as through naming opportunities at the cancer house.
Bequests and Planned Giving-A bequest is a special way to preserve your current income and still make a generous gift to Chase Away the Clouds. It is also possible to name Chase Away the Clouds as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy, retirement account, charitable gift annuity, remainder or lead trust, or savings plan.
In-kind Donations — We are always in need of donated office supplies and home goods in order to sustain our efforts. Printing needs, old laptops, gift cards to office or printing companies. Used Cell phones, prepaid phones and phones cards.
Donate Your Airline Miles: As many of you know, most of the major airlines have now made it possible to donate your frequent flyer miles to recognized 501 ( c ) 3 organizations such as Chase Away the Clouds frequent flyer Program Manager. For other questions regarding your donation of miles to the House, please contact us.
Ticket or Special Events: Give our families a break from the rigors of cancer treatment by offering them a night out. Donate you unused tickets to sporting events, theater, museums or other special events for use by our families.
Other Gifts — Gifts of stocks, appreciated securities and real estate can provide you with important tax benefits while providing you with a meaningful philanthropic contribution.
Donors often find that through careful planning – and the involvement of their legal and tax advisors – that they are able to support their favorite causes at more significant levels than they had imagined.
